Using the Search module and APIs

Monday - October 5 - 01.00 to 01:50

During this session we'll learn the basics of the Search module and its latest improvements. We'll start by looking at the different modules involved, how to create different indexes and use them without any coding involved, then deep dive into the API in order to create custom front-ends driven by full-text search. Finally we'll learn about faceted search and extensibility.

Sebastien Ros Lead Orchard Project Developer - Benevolent Dictator

Sebastien was born in famous French Bordeaux town, where he started programming at age of 11. In 2001 he co-founded a Microsoft .NET specialized company named Evaluant, at which point he joined Microsoft Corp. in 2010 to work on Orchard. He has worked on different open source .NET projects like an ORM, a Javascript interpreter and a Document storage library. Today he is the most stand'of'fish and condescending Orchard developer, and sadly also the lead developer.
